Arte Fundamental was founded in 2009 in the vibrant city of São Paulo by Bianca Cutait and a few partners with strong economics backgrounds. Born from a combined passion for art and finance, the vision was clear from the start to create a platform that positioned art as a powerful alternative asset while empowering collectors, investors, and institutions to navigate the complex Art Market with insight and impact.

In 2014, Arte Fundamental expanded internationally with the opening of its Miami office. Working closely with clients during Art Basel Miami Beach, the company was quickly established as a trusted partner in art advisory, connecting collectors with exceptional works and providing strategic guidance at one of the world’s most dynamic art fairs. As relationships deepened and client needs grew more sophisticated, Arte Fundamental naturally evolved to include auction representation, advising clients through acquisitions, negotiating terms, and managing consignments with a strong focus on discretion, market intelligence, and long-term value preservation.

By 2016, this evolution led to the opening of Arte Fundamental Gallery in Miami’s thriving Lemon City neighborhood, offering a curated space to showcase and celebrate extraordinary works of art. In 2020, unforeseen world circumstances led to the gallery’s closure and Bianca was immediately invited to join Bonhams Auctioneers as a Senior Specialist, becoming the first-ever Latin American to hold this position. This milestone marked not only a new chapter in her career but also a continuation of Arte Fundamental’s mission, now amplified on a global scale through the world’s leading auction houses.
